Trust God to Navigate!

Image
My car came with a navigation system. This was one of my top request when I bought it. I get a bit anxious driving in the city if I don’t know where my destination is exactly. As you know there are lots of obstacles while driving anywhere but especially in down town areas of large cities. In town I get a bit anxious if I am running late due to looking for a location that is unfamiliar. My nav. System takes all the anxiety away. All of it! I totally trust that voice over the speaker without even looking at the map on my screen. She gives play by play and ample warning when to turn and then beeps again in the exact moment I need to turn. Not to mention she tells me when I have arrived. It goes something like this; “Your destination is ahead on the left/right” then when I get exactly there she reassures me by stating “ you have arrived at your destination”. She even signs off with her salutation of “ route guide is now finished”. This is a great invention and I really would not want to go

Working Myself Out of a Job

As mothers our goal should be to work ourselves out of a job. Depending on personalities and gifs it happens at different ages. With our two boys, it is happening at the same time. One is 17 and the other is 14. I will be out of a job faster than I thought and am feeling it! Heart strings and apron strings must be connected! With every loosening of the apron strings I feel the pull in my heart. The last two years I have been learning how to let go of the little boy we have and let him grow into a young man. Now our younger one is following suit. I really struggled the first year I felt this happening. What a roller coaster of emotions. I have to continually remind myself that this is not about me it is about them. What I have learned in the last two years is to trust. It is so hard to trust our children to always make wise moral choices every time, however, we can trust in the Good Lord. These are His children. He loves them more than we know how. He knows each and every child bette
